As a perinatal and pediatric chiropractor and mom, I’ve spent years working alongside mothers—listening to their stories, celebrating their births, and witnessing the barriers so many of them face simply trying to get the care they deserve. Over time, it became clear that for too many women of color, especially those in low-income communities, pregnancy is not met with the support, resources, or dignity they need to feel safe and empowered.
I founded Shades of Care to change that.
This nonprofit was born from the deep belief that every pregnant person—regardless of race, income, or zip code—deserves access to holistic, respectful, and culturally aware care. Whether it’s understanding how to apply for Medicaid, finding a midwife who listens, or learning about alternative therapies like chiropractic, massage, or pelvic floor therapy, Shades of Care exists to help families navigate their maternal journey with clarity and confidence.
We’re here to close gaps, build trust, and provide education that uplifts.
This is personal. This is necessary. This is care in every shade.
